Arrow Announcing: ARIA Player now integrated in Finale 2009

Well it's official. Finale 2009 has been released!

The big news is that the new ARIA Player is now integrated into Finale 2009 along with an expanded Garritan soundset. The ARIA player was specially adapted to Finale 2009.

In addition to the bundled sounds form last year, new sounds include: baritone saxophone, vintage electric piano, electric guitar, electric bass, vibraphone, handbells, mellophone group, baritone group, and additional marching percussion cymbals. Finale 2009 now includes more than 300 instrument patches. In addition, Finale also includes more than 100 percussion instrument sounds from Tapspace Virtual Drumline, which are also incorporated in the ARIA player.

Finale 2009 now has Full VST/AU instrument support so you can load your favorite virtual instruments (GPO. JABB, COMB will all load into Finale 2009).

Other new features in Finale 2009 include Streamlined workflow, Multiple page editing, engraver improvements, Human Playback enhancements, FinaleScript 2.0 and updates to MusicXML.

We're looking forward to hearing the music many of you make with Finale 2009 and the ARIA Player. This is only a start and look for more good things to come....

    All the best,

    Gary Garritan

It really wets the whistle for the coming porting of other complete libraries to Aria, doesn't it!

Please tell us we can expect something equivalent from Sibelius!

    Congratulations, Gary!

I've been purchasing updates to Finale, almost every year, since 1997. I hardly ever use the program except for vocal projects and to create blank jazz-band & orchestral staffs for the 'ol "Pencil to Manuscript Paper" thing. I was going to skip the 2009 update.

But not now. . . LOL!
