    Just got Heavyocity's Evolve....

...and it's awesome. Great sounds - very diverse...an excellent compliment to StormDrum 1 and 2.

I put together a litle demo:

    Heavy Evolution

The beginning is Atmosphere, the strings are EWQL, and one cymbal scrape is also from EW, and everything else is Evolve.

    Great product guys!

    Nice demos!

Question: In your first demo HeavyEvolution, are the drums a loop or programmed?

    Thanks

    Thanks freak.

The drums are looped. Which is why the 2nd piece was done in record time....lol

    Cheers.

Question Re: Just got Heavyocity's Evolve....

    Hi.
Nice demo..From first demo I heard human vocals and soprano are those from Heavy Evolution or other library ? If yes can you play them as a legato or just loops ?

    Kind regards.

    You can play them legato.

    Thanks!

    Re: Just got Heavyocity's Evolve....

    Shakuman,

As Jeffrey mentioned, the vocal you're referring to (the chants and the female soloist) are both part of EVOLVE. To clarify- the chanting is user created, whereby a host of single syllable notes are at your disposal. Users can create super convincing, menacing vocal assaults really quickly, and that blend well with percussive beds.

We balanced that vocal anchor with a pair of really beautiful female vocalists, recorded separately. We went with a more eclectic approach, capturing legato along with more obscure performances in a host of various key signatures.

There's actually no vocal loops in the EVOLVE collection.

    Hope that helps.

    Hey Tabbu,

Thanks for the compliment on the Demos. I generally tell people to "Let your ears be the judge." Of course, with so many incredible tools on the market today, it's understandable wanting to take their time in making the decision to invest in any significant tool for your craft.

Be sure to pick up the upcoming issue of Computer Music Magazine . It might help you shape your decision.

    Cheers,
