    Hi friends,

    here is a new short piece played with "the Trumpet" by Alex Pfeffer.

    Very nice piece and use of The Trumpet. My only comment is the fast passage at the end - is it in ensemble with trumpet? If it is, for my ears, that part may have been articulated a little differently. Otherwise I loved it!

    This is Alex message he sent to me...:

    "Hi Landford and Audun,

    thanks a lot for your comments! Yes the part at the end is rather unusual for a trumpet section, but I know it should be possible to play, even if it may not be the most typical and easiest part to do. I just wanted to challenge the trumpets a bit.

    I used the True Strike 1 timpani for this composition. I layered the far samples with the close ones in order to get a bit of that extra kick, plus I applied a bit of the "Transient Monster" (Stillwell plugins).

    crazy good sounding stuff... i loved it... big fan of the trumpet... though I have not tried it out yet... will be sure to do so.... like when the choir comes in.. so dramatic fast big... and still realistic.... good job...

    I've been really impressed with The Trumpet. Now my orchestral brass section would sound better if they did trombone and french horn.
