    Serenity Reposted

I'm not reposting this song for comments, although they are welcome. I'm posting it for Summer Glau's Birthday. She was ultimately the star of Serenity and Firefly, which is the sole inspiration for this song. Her birthday was technically 4 hours ago over, but I'm posting it now, get over it. The song is inspired bythe main theme of the movie, and by the Irish Jig that River Tam learns and performs in 5 seconds in the episode SAFE.

Here's some advice for you, young man. If you want people to read your posts and listen to your music, then stop using phrases like "...get over it." That kind of disrespectful attitude doesn't sit well with people.

Larry, it is strange and please explain, what's wrong with that "get over it". Though I don't understand this part of the phrase, I don't see any harm in it. Teach us non-english speaking fellows some of your matured wisdom (with a smile as always).

Well besides larry, it was jokingly expressed. as in im four hours late for her birthday recognition, so i said get over it, as in sorry i was 4 hours late, but thats just too bad. it wasn't like... I hate everyone here. then that might be negative.

I know you said you weren't posting this tune for comments, but I had to say how much I appreciated the music. You did a very nice job! Great stuff from an equally great series! How I wish they would bring it back or make another movie! Take care!

I liked your music and I read about her at Wikipedia.

I enjoyed the music very much. I prefer a little longer ending after the rhythmical part.

Thanks for all the comments. I composed this about mid year 2007 when I first met the Firefly on DVD. It was really the best thing I'd ever seen. I do have a little star crush on Summer Glau. And on Jewel Staite, now doing Stargate Atlantis. And Summer in Sarah Connor Chronicles as you said sosmus. Anyway, I remember hearing about the ending the last time I'd posted this short work. I left it alone though, because its abruptness is kinda the left out feeling i was going for. Go watch the series on DVD, awesome, and you'll probably understand more the statement I'm making with the dropout type of ending. And if you don't buy the series, just buy Serenity on DVD.

I understand what you were going for. After having I've watched the series several times (and the movie), it makes sense to me. Josh Whedon was such a genious with Firefly. Anyone who hasn't seen this series they owe it to themselves to rent it, buy it or borrow my copy (that's if you live in Milwaukee). Again, great job on the music!
