    free japanese instruments??

i'd need some typical japanese instruments/sound (flutes, stringed...) for a project.
for now i just have taiko drums, but there should be also also melody and accompainment... not just percussions!!

is there some free library/wav out there? (preferably in kontakt2 format, but i can make my own patch!)

    thanks!!

I don't know of any free Japanese instrument but i know there are some free Chinese instruments here. And samples. Hopefully your audience is not that sophisticated and wont tell the difference.

There are a few free Japanese instruments for Kontakt.

Koto (japanese zither or harp) for Kontakt

    Shamisen (japanese lute) for Kontakt

It seems that no free flute (Ryuteki, Shinobue) is available. But Shakuhachi (recorder) is included in many free GM sound fonts. And Chinese Pipa and Pipa tremolo in DSK Asian DreamZ are almost same as japanese Biwa.
    Tatsu
GPO, Strad & Gofriller, Kirk Hunter Ruby, etc.
    Kontakt2&3, Cubase studio4, Overture4, PC (Win XP, E6850, 4GB RAM), MOTU8282mk3
    Yokohama, Japan

Why not invest in Bela D Media's Anthology: Spiritual Winds? it is fantastic and would be exactly what you are looking for.
