Faure - Three Romances Without Words - Complete

I managed to locate the entire Faure "Three Romances Without Words". So by request I post them all here for euphonium using GPO for the piano and CMB for the solo euphonium.

    Hello Gary,

I'm having trouble accessing this. Might be this end though as I've just installed new anti-virus and security software -and it maybe taking a while to 'learn' the rules. I'll try again later.

    Regards, Graham

    Gary,

I, too, am receiving a username and password request followed by a "not authorized to view this page" message.

Looking forward to hearing these... I'm sure it's a minor glitch.

    Yea! It's fixed!
What an aggravation that must have been for you, Gary, considering this gorgeous music you had waiting to be heard! Just equally outstanding work on all three, with the third being my favorite. The range of that movement, to my ear, really exploits the lyrical nature of the euphonium; and you really made it sing. VERY nice use of vibrato again in this one.

The piano work is also just outstanding; it proves that the GPO Steinway is no slouch, especially in such capable hands.

You've put the same expert touch on this project that is so evident in your sax quartet transcriptions. Wonderful job with this wonderful music!

    Danny,

Thanks for your kind words. It is a wonderful suite with great potential for other solo instruments. I have already done it for tuba and alto saxophone as soloists. I agree that the third movement is the nicest as well. And yes the GPO Steinway (Lite) really sounds wonderful as the accompanist.

    Hopefully more to follow soon.

Nice to see you post the entire piece. I use the GPO piano all of the time not only because I can not afford the Authorized, but because it stands very well by itself as you have shown here.

    Nice work

    Ron,

Thanks for your comments. I agree that the GPO piano is plenty sufficent for what I use it for. Thanks for stopping in to hear the work.

Great to hear these completed, Gary -- they make quite
    a wonderful set. These are sure to see much success;
    and well deserved.

With other comments about the GPO Steinway, yes,
indeed, it still stands proud... a very serviceable
instrument for many uses. I remain quite fond of it
    myself.

    Best,

    David
