A sketch for a new work for four voices (piano.)
ps I had problems with playback even after saving on new scores 3 x's. The first note is loud but the rest is okay.

Nice interplay of voices. If I may be so bold, a jazz drum and bass in the background would be nice. It has a very quasi modern jazz feel. Just a thought.

As to the first note (I know you know this, but) have you tried a empty first measure to clear the midi data?

I look forward to the completition of this sketch.

That first note is a killer (and the scond). As you said though, the rest is great.

An empty measure might help at the beginning.

    Interesting sketch, Gary.

I've run into this in Finale occasionally. Usually I'll delete the first few
measures entirely; insert blank ones; and re-enter the material... and
    that'll correct it.

As et Lux said, "Interesting." After 2m 13s, I was unable to
whistle any theme presented.........lol. Actually, the beginning,
was more organized than the middle....to.....end. But, hey, I'm
not a modern composer and trying to understand your work
    proves it.

About Finale (2009). As I said before, I have been a Finale user,
mostly for manuscript purposes, since it first came out. But, now
that they have incorporated some GPO library sounds, it has become,
in the hands of the experts, a great sound-producing program....well,

The only problem is, it is not very reliable. Strange things happen
all the time even when everything is going alright. The other night
I loaded a Glockenspiel and it played back fine (Finale 2009). The
next day, it didn't play at all. Unloaded the instrument then reloaded
and it plays fine. Go figure..........but that's just the tip of the iceberg
for me and Finale. I don't trust the program and am glad that I use
Digital Performer as a final source for my music production. You won't
find "flaky" happenings in DP like you do in Finale. Sorry to have to say
I'm disappointed in Finale, but I will always tell the truth and that
    means......."in my opinion."

Hope you find a solution to your dynamic problems. This is the second
composition of yours I have heard in as many days that displays this problem.

    Hang in there, Gary
