Another brief sketch. This has progressed from Ragtime style to Latin.

Hi! - I actually enjoyed this little piece. Aptly named as well! I liked the little subtle changes that seemed to almost change genre and then quickly jump back into a ragtime. Although a long time jazz fan, I have never been a huge ragtime buff but I can certainly appreciate its place in music history and of course the creativity and complexity.
Well done!

Thanks for listening, Del.
I am seeking an appropriate piece to go along with the 2 finished movements of my sax quartet. If you listen, you can see(hear) that
the 1st movement is a kind of Latin-centered rhythms: the 2nd is a jazz-style ballad.
I addition to this rag-which just came together as I created melody
and bass line-I wrote one other short piece posted earlier(FLIGHT). I'm working at organizing and planning prior to work on the 3rd movement.

If you had not told me that this was ragtime, I would never have though it.
I'm not that familiar with ragtime, mainly associating the genre with pieces from scott joplin. That is, bouncier and faster.
This seems more mellow than what I recognise as ragtime. That is also probably because I'm not that well educated.
I liked the piece though. Breezy is a word that I'd associate with it. As Del said, aptly named.
Cheers...

Sweet piece, Gary, with its gentle roll and jaunty
rhythms.
Enjoyed it!
Best,

Thanks for listening, David.
It's now developing into a Latin style which I will post soon.
