    Ondes Martenot / Theremin Samples??

    Hey all,

Does anyone know of any ondes Martenot or theremin samples, or of any piece of software that can closely emulate these sounds? I'm trying to work on a few pieces that feature these instruments but cannot make convincing demos in Finale, or even with Logic Pro.

    Thanks for your help,

    Ken

There are lots of VST theremins - do a bit of rooting around at KVR. I always used to use the Mysteron from FXpansion, but that doesn't seem to be available anymore.

You just have to download new presets on the website ( they're free ) to make your moog a Theremin !

    Hey everyone,

Thanks a lot for your help...I'm actually on a Mac so a lot of the free software either won't work or I can't get it to work (I'm not super Mac-savvy yet--too used to Windows ).

John I was so impressed with your demo (amongst other things) that I went ahead and purchased the Arturia Moog Modular V ... I'm now just wondering which of the presets I have to download to make it sound like a theremin. Could you help me out? The website has a lot of presets and I don't feel like downloading all of them now

    Thanks again for your help,

    Ken

    here we are

Download the "Chris Naegellen*" preset ,i'm 90 % sure it's this one.

Then extract it somewhere, and do "import bank" from Arturia moog interface

Spectrasonic's Atmosphere has a good theremin.

This has the Moog Voyager theremin sampled, though I can't vouch as to how good it is as I have not used it.
