    "Brass Tacks"

    Y'all,

    Here is my "Brass Tacks".

Instrumentation: Trumpets, "French" horns, one tuba and (gasp) euphoniums.

    Larry,
It's good to know that we can always count on you for a musical smile! You also have the occasional bit of unexpected musical mischief!
If I could use one adjective to describe your stuff, i'd use "puckish." That's a compliment.

Good, idiomatic writing, especially as regards choice of keys.
Last transition out of Bb back into Dmi is nice.
    Love the "Peter Gunn"-ish ending.
Of course, the presence of euphoniums adds immeasurably to the quality of the performance.

    Mr Larry

I knew we could count on you for another great piece for Horns.

    Love that finishing chord!

    Well done

    Re: "Brass Tacks"

Very well done brass writing in this, Larry -- and
quite a good rendering, as well. Snorlax's puckery
notwithstanding (he's an alum addict, you know),
this would be well worth scoring up and getting
out there... I would think many a brass ensemble
would find this an inviting offering!

    My best,
