Waves GTR 3 VST with Gigastudio 3 or 4

    Hi,
Anyone running Waves GTR 3 with Gigastudio?
Anyone running Waves GTR 3 stand alone?
When I load Waves GTR 3 as a vst into Gigastudio my VSTi B4 hammond stops working. Unload GTR 3 and it starts again, any ideas?
    Please comment....
    cheers

You could always try customer service.....Sorry I couldn't resist.

Before they cut those guys loose, I was glad they got NI stuff to work in GS4. FM8 sounds really nice coming out of GS4 and going through my Scope plugs.

You could try and place the dll. files in a different location. I had trouble w/ duplicate ID's using GVI and K2 based instruments. Tascam released a fix the next day, but that was for GVI. Maybe if you could try a seperate folder for the dll. from Waves, and hopefully the double search path might trick GS4 into overlooking something that might have been duplicated. In my experience w/ duplicate ID's the last loaded instrument works as it bounces out the prior dll.

Let me know how it goes since Tascam can't help anymore. That's why I use GS4 as a custom performance editor for GVI based apps, and Bidule as a host. As soon as I discovered latency in GS4 when hosting K2 instruments like CHHorns, I dropped it like a hot potatoe and went back to a 3GB Switch based Bidule config. It works great live, and is very lean, hence no problems.

    Good Luck Brotha' Man Bryan.

Oohhh thanks Jimmy, can always rely on you for a comment.
I will move the dll right away and see if that works....
I have just found this little app "SMPSeesawPro" for assigning applications to specific cores, and at present it seems that the load can be manually spread across the four or individually to one. Thought you might find a use for it.... sorry I don't have the URL but it will be real easy to find.

    Thanks Brotha' Man,

I am making some VSTi purchases and might be needing the extra ZAP. But Giga already handles core assignments pretty well for 2. The app sits on 1, and the rest are supposedly spread out to other cores. But it seems as though their priority was to make sure the app was seperate to maintain that excellent kernel level MIDI.
