Mahler 5 - Adagietto, strings and harp

My GPO rendition of a wonderful wonderful piece that I fell in love with last summer. Listening to the entire piece is practically a religious experience, I hope you enjoy!

I'm sure I'll be going back and editing and changing details and such in the near future but I was so relieved to have finished the piece that I thought I'd post it in its current form.

edit: it seems that only 8:31 out of the 10min or so piece appear to have uploaded to Soundclick, I'll address this problem tomorrow; at the moment I'm too exhausted I'm afraid.
    Hi Simon,

You have done a wonderful job!
Mahler's Adagietto is one of my favorite pieces.

People have been swooning to this Adagietto since "Death in Venice" hit the silver screen! ` Leonard Bernstein

    Simon,

A stunning performance on this. Loved every note, twice.

Wow - this piece is AWESOME!!!! And wonderfully rendered. The mix is excellent. I really got a sense I was listening to this in a concert hall. Beautiful!

GPO strings are remarkably expressive when put through the right kind of reverb settings and dynamic detail which makes the Adagietto ideal for testing them out, I had a looot of fun with this project. Thanks for listening, Bill and Michael! It's great to hear from you, I really enjoyed going through the first movement as uploaded on your website Bill.
