Nice one, Mr. Chris. Excellent contrasting dynamics. Fine, subtle unison string work. I really like this one (except for the ending). Thanks for posting your creative work.

    Chris:

A lot going on here and it is all good. Like the way you
bring in your instruments to create dynamics without increasing
    volume.

The piece flows nicely and the percussion adds a spicey flavor.

Very nice mixed rhythmic figures and harmonic progression.

This is normally not my kind of music... HOWEVER!
I don't think anyone here knows, but I used to dance ballroom, I was just starting competition. Sadly, medical reasons put an end to that.

But dammit, your piece made me SO want to go out there and dance a Viennese waltz again! I promise you, if I can get over this little medical "hump", I'll come back to you and ask if we can use your piece for a waltz routine.

It really sounds wonderful. Part of it did sound like it could be choreographed for dance.

    Loved it!

Truly beautiful writing, Chris, uplifting and moving. The string
work, particularly... and the whole piece has a very visual
aspect to it that carries the mind away across pastures and
    skies of hope.

Perhaps the one area I'd give a second look is the first twenty
seconds... maybe relax that a little, slow it, use more sustain
pedal on the piano, and a bit softer? Enter this dream more
    gently.

Lovely work, my friend, a genuine pleasure...

    All my best,

Yes, it's wonderfully upbeat and joyous and the percussion isn't that repetitive as I thought at first. The melodies that emerge are just a marvel to listen to. Great piece!

    Very nice!

My only suggestion would be to hold the last note and let the reverb and sounds die away a little more.

    Well done

    Hi Chris,

This music would be perfect as background music for a documentary!

I can imagine Werner Herzog visiting New Zealand and choosing your music!

    Thanks for sharing!
