    Alto & piano-step lightly

A solo version of this piece for Alto & Piano.
Next step will be to Sax quartet, but this can be a stand-alone piece.

    Hey Again!

    Wow!, nice, light, & smooth.
Did you write this piece or is it a revisit using GPO and JABB?

Either way, a great work and expressive rendering to say the least!

    Re: Alto & piano-step lightly

    Thanks for listening, Michael.
This will soon be the 3rd movement of my Sax Quartet.
I've been working on the 3 movements since early Feb. I've tossed several whole movement attempts in that time.
What has worked for me is to write the music for piano 1st so I can make logical harmonics along with a clear melody.
Then I test how it works as solo & accompaniment.
    Finally it goes to quartet.

OK, sounds like a good plan.
Now that I know you also wrote the work I am even more impressed.
The sound, flow, and melodies are superb!

    Keep it going!

    Hello Gary,

A very apt title for this... definitely light-hearted due to your nimble writing. This should translate very well to the quartet setting. Nice stuff!

Another rather light-hearted episode, Gary; though
with perhaps a bit of looking askance... this seems
to be one of your favorite stances... lol.

    My best,

    Thanks for listening, David.
    I'll take "askance."
I am totally tired of this piece-solo; quartet, etc-. It has drained
all of my enthusiasm for writing.
