    Waldfriedhof bei Nacht

This is the last (for now) of the Sambilly Organ series. They were all experiments in technique for me, particularly this one, which is the only one with a subtitle. It would be a good selection for Halloween, although not particularly intended as such. the quasi portamento on the organ is achieved by overlapping notes on chromatic passages.

    GPO Organ, with Sonar.

This movement has a great opening and fits in perfectly with the first three.

Might I suggest posting all 4 together for those that missed the other 3?

    Well done

Just listened to the whole suite on the other thread,
    Richard; but noticed this one...

It occurs to me that it might be interesting to
extract this one piece separately and develop it a
little further as an independent entity. The unique
character and flavor of this one seems to have
the germinative elements at hand for much
    further interesting thought.

    My best,

    David

Well, David, as usual, your comment is very good, right on the mark. This one is probably a bit strong for the rest, and certainly has it's own unique character. It came to me rather easily, but to add to it without degrading it will be a real challenge. If I succeed, the title will be changed to reflect my original intent, probably something like "Before Time". The evolution of the universe has been a mild obsession of mine since about 1947.
