    Alto solo & piano

My Sax work is complete, but it's an alto sax solo & Piano. It is too large for one save, so this is the 1st movement with opening part of the second.

    Hey Gary,

Much enjoyed the duo! Liked how the piano would take a back seat; other times it would share the melody line at hand - or play and imitate the sax. Honestly, wonderful work here! I'm not a huge jazz fan but your writing talent stands out very clearly and your attention to detail is obvious.

Wonderful Gary, and congratulations on the completion!

    Gary:

Very inventive solo and great "back and forth" with the piano.

Liked the fact that there was breathing room for the sax player.
That's so important when writing for a wind instrument as you
already know, but it's so nice when one hears it adhered to.

This composition has a very definite contemporary flavor to it.
I haven't heard much of that lately, so I'm glad that I listened
    to your piece.

    Thanks for listening, Michael.
Your comments are appreciated. I work alone and only my comp teacher and this forum ever hears my work.

Thanks for listening, Jack. both you and Michael
are very positive in your comments.

An enjoyable duo, Gary; particularly the more flip, light-hearted
    moments.

    Best,
