    Farewell to Richard Wright

    As we all know by now Richard died today of cancer.
    No one can deny his contributions to Pink Floyd and indeed the world of music.
    Loved the sounds he used to get from his Kurzweil, in fact I bought one largely due to his influence. It was my first synth purchase.

    At 65 he certainly died far too young.
    Thanks for the music Richard.

    My condolences go out to his friends and family.

    There's no way Floyd would have sounded the way they did without Wright. You're right, Rogers and Gilmore got ALL the credit really but Richard was very much a part of the overall sound. Ya just gotta love the sounds he made from those synths
