I wish Omnisphere could do that...

Maybe it does but I dn't know how to use it....

Let's say we have a patch on slot 1....
and we're using ARP on it....
I would love to have opportunity to program 8 ARP patterns and switch between them with midi messages in that patch....

should be possible in live mode.
create 8 copies of the patch with different arpsettings.
activate live mode and midilearn some buttons or pads to switch between the 8 patches.

Hans suggestion, of course, is an excellent one. You could also create the 8 patches, save them in one folder, then select that folder via the browser, link the two up and down arrows via MIDI and then simply switch from one patch to the other using only two keys. Using Live mode is IMHO the best way of the two ways we've suggested though and you can go from, for example, patch 3 to patch 6 with one click. If you use the browser/patch approach you could only go from 3>4>5 etc. There are probably other ways that the wonderful folks at Spectrasonics can suggest, maybe even better ones than we've offered.
Cubase 7.0.3, Wavelab 7.1, Omnisphere, Trilian, Stylus RMX, Symphobia 1 & 2 , all Spitfire libraries, LASS 2, Requiem Pro, Voxos, Superior Drummer 2, Komplete 8, Cinematic Guitars, most EW libraries, Chris Hein Horns, Guitar & Bass, 2.8 GHz Mac Pro, 18 GB RAM, OS 10.6.8, RME Multiface II + HDSP PCIe

Yes, you can do exactly that with LIVE mode.

right- that live mode is somewhat of a misnomer in that it is so powerful for general composing. The keyswitching is just HUGE.

I know it Spectrum, but I was thinking about other thing...
an ability to make a multi with 8 patches where every patch can have for example 8 ARP patters selectable via midi message.
Switching ARP conten on the fly would not be very stressfull to the engine I guess...

    I see.

Why would this be useful to you?

Especially since there are already other ways to achieve the same musical result.

Re: I wish Omnisphere could do that...

Because I would love to be able to switch 4 different ARP patterns for each patch for example....
without having this patch loaded 4 times... this way I could have done more inside one instance....
Omni is very complex to me in many areas and ARP is lacking the complexity to me....
Of course that's my very subjective feeling.

I know that I can do it by copying patch into slots and switch between them (thank god Omni is clever and doesn't load it into memory for each patch slot)
but it leads me to having more instances... and each instance is 170 MB of memory....

of course soem will say ONLY 170MB... I don't wanna start war or something.... Omni is superb piece of software.... but I just would like to have this tiny little thing in the ARP

I wish omnisphere had a step sequencer, or that the arp could act as a step sequencer too.

we can't have it all I guess.

    spoilt gits we are

    hehe

Of course, you can already use the Mod Envelopes to do pitch sequencing now. :-)
