Cool The new Samplemodeling baby ! Mr. Sax.T.

    Dear friends,

We are proud to present the result of our collaboration with Stefano Lucato. Stefano was the developer, along with Dr. Giorgio Tommasini, of the Stradivari Violin and the Gofriller Cello.

Stefano Lucato & Samplemodeling created the next groundbreaking virtual instrument: the Tenor Saxophone! It´s extremely expressive, enjoyable, and intuitively playable - simply a real sample-modelled instrument!

    Please follow the links:

and download the video demo. It was composed, performed and recorded in realtime by Stefano Lucato, using just the Expression Pedal (dynamics), the Modwheel (vibrato intensity), the Pitchbend, and the Sustain Pedal.

The Saxophone will be available in a few weeks.

Stay tuned, and visit our homepage www.samplemodeling.com in the nearest future for further details.

    Enjoy!

Our prayers have answered! Well... my prayers, anyway...

And alto sax is soon to follow, I trust?

Demo sounds great. I will say that some of the legato transitions that I hear are a touch portomentoish to my ear, but when Stefano plays the riffs starting around 0:37, there's a lot lss of that... so I think it comes down to mastering the realtime control (no suprise there!)...

Can't wait to get my hands on that beast!

Great work guys - its every bit as good as I had hoped!!

    3 early questions:

    1. Will sections be available, ala the Trumpet?
    2. Are we looking at a price in the same ballpark as the Trumpet?
    3. As some else asked, is there an alto to follow?

Cant wait for the Trombone as well! Greedy, I know.

Hey, that was great... Definitely an amazingly realistically sounding saxophone, and if one doesn't have the chops, I can definitely see how programming one can get the realism... A great achievement...

    Hi Gregory,

yes, we hope to continue with the alto sax. The price of the tenor sax will be be somewhat lower than that of The Trumpet.

Thanks to all for the appreciation! :-)

    Thanks Peter, thats great news.

My big hope is that at some stage we'll be able to use these in a section, like with the Trumpet. Samplemodeling trumpet, alto, tenor and tromb sections combined - whoa.... I like it!

    Best regards,
