    Gary:

Innovative piano and sax piece. I liked the rhythmic changes
and the interplay between the sax and piano. Very well thought
out. I seemed to have missed the "reprise." Was that supposed to
have been the beginning ballad partially entered at the end?

Also, both instruments sounded good, but I would have liked to have
heard some "vibrato" on the sax. Some of its notes are held long
enough to really "send the listener" if only there was some vibrato
    attached.

    Enjoyable, contemporary jazz listen, Gary.

    Thanks for listening, Jack.
The combined 3 movements are too large for one save, and few seem to listen to both movements when they are on one page.
I think you can still find the 1st Movement in earlier posts-dated about Sept. 12.

Very nice modern Sax Solo. I like the interplay between the piano and the sax. I see you do not care for vibrato on saxophone. I know it's a personal thing but I like a little vibrato.

Is this piece being played by an alto sax player? It sounded like a bit of a reed issue at 4:00 into the piece.

Balance between instruments seems very good though the stereo separation is very minimal, it works for this kind of intimate setting.

Thanks for sharing this with us.

Re: BALLAD, STEP LIGHTLY, and REPRISE

    Hi Rich, thanks for listening.
This is Finale 09 & Garritan.
I think there must be another problem with the audio recording because I get random distorted sounds in
much of what I record now.
I haven't arrived to the place where I can find the vibrato.
A slow vibrato would be nice.

I'm not sure I would know how to get vibrato in Finale either. You would have to use the midi menu and everytime I use it I get strange problems occuring which usually means I don't know what I'm doing. LOL

I only have Finale '08 so I'm not sure what has changed or improved in '09.

I do like the piece though.

    Hi Rich.
In the Finale program, the 21st Century option adds vibrato. It doesn't seem to translate.
