    "Brassilia" (Brass Quintet)

    All of Y'all,

This is my boisterous and aggressive brass quintet, "Brassilia", that I wrote today.

The instruments (two trumpets, one each "French" horn, 'bone and tuba) are from the GPO and Kontakt 3 sample libraries.

    Regards,

sounds great larry! I love my new sound system too. It sounds like it would be rather difficult to play, but that's a great challenge for a brass quintet. bravo

This is an interesting brass piece. I like the interplay between the instruments. The piece works well and has a nice balance between all the brass instruments. Thanks Larry!

Great clarity in the thinking and the brass writing,
Larry... clean and crystalline, with strongly outlined,
    coherent dialogue and solid structure.

The open lines and space across this... I'd love to
hear this in a large venue like a highly reverberant
    church.

    Best,

I shall crank up the reverb. Who needs a highly reverberant church?

I appreciate your good words, Mr. David...as always. Thanks and my best to you.

This is very nice Larry. The brass are allowed to be brassy and a bit brash even.

In some ways I think your music has been improving.

    An enjoyable and stimulating listen.

My friend doesn't have a older sister but there are a number of single women in their sixties in my choir. I could turn them on to your site and maybe one or more of them will make you an offer you can't refuse.

You could end up with a harem of classical music groupies.

    Mr Larry

You are always at your best when working with the Brass and is this no exception.

But then everyone has big brass ones down there in Texas, right?

    Well done
