    Crisp, clear Steinway inspired this.....

    Hi all,

It's been a very long time since I posted any music here - much too long!

(I've not been able to do much this year because of a changed family situation which has taken ALL my free time..... )

I did however manage to install the Steinway last week - and I was playing around with the crisp and clear notes - what a joy to play!!!

The first song I came up with was this so I thought I'd post it here as a big thank you to Garritan for producing this wonderful piano. Bravo, Gary!!!

The title was very well selected for this reflective piece.

Isn't it amazing how a really fine instrument can inspire
creation? Just to hear the clean, round notes make one
want to spend more time with creativity.

    A great result, jonray

    That's very nice, old chap!

By Jove, I didn't think a Brit was capable of writing something like that. (I'm kidding...I'm kidding!)

Thanks for posting your pretty tune, Mr. Jon.

this was a beautiful piece. i like how you played the melody without chords to start it off. it gave the song a dramatic sound when he left hand came in. extremely well rendered as well.

Jon, welcome to the Garritan Steinway world!. Isn't it fantastic? Nice piece, is like a meditation, very reflexive. Enjoy your library, this is an excellent acquisition.

To Jack, Larry, Keith, Dan and Victor,

THANKS to all for your kind comments. (Larry the DUDE - how are ya?)

Just a footnote for anyone interested - I didn't select reverb via the embedded option in Aria, instead I added Garritan Ambience via the send effect in Cubase, set it to Cathedral, put the master send effect level to about half-way, then just added a TOUCH to the Steinway track. Seemed to give it a nice ambience.

Then I just tweaked the TONE a little in the Aria TONE section - bass up a touch, treble down a touch.

    Thanks again

    Hi Jonray:

Beautiful piece. Which version of the Steinway is this. Very clean and crisp sound. Really enjoyed it. Thanks.
