STYLUS RMX Access Violation Pro Tools SPECTRUM P-LEASE!

Pt 7.4.2. OS 10.5.5 (upgraded cause a friend who is a beta tester said okay)

the problem: ca't dran n drop midi files from RMX into session. Nor drag to the desktop. The PT error says "Access Violation..." the desktop drag indicates a zero /

DUC thread about fixing permissions but it isn't entirely clear.

Hoping to get an answer here. I did an "Access Violation" search here but didn't see an RMX result...

    thanks,

    scott

BTW - a rant to Northern Sounds. Your SPAM protection. Holy @hit. That's one of the worst, or possibly the most comedic little annoyances I have ever used. After five failed attempts to recover lost password I actually tried to listen to the audio for help. You GOTTA try that. I'll offer a hundred dollar reward if you can decipher what's being said in the audio helper...

Oh god I hope I don't have to do it again to Submit this thread...

PS - ERIC - I wrote tech support like... 2 days ago. I really wish you folks had a quicker response... as you see I also posted here. You know I LOVE your products....

Others on the DUC have the issue BUT there's nada on your site either. I would guess this isn't an individual issue.

Wow, it's great to call and email Spectrasonics. To post here and the DUC. to wait MORE than a WEEK and get NO RESPONSE. (tech support at Digi was stymied)

OH and BTW to see Eric responding to other posts is comforting as I try to write a sequence but CAN'T.

Bloody Fing Frustrating. And as you can find my raving support for their products in this forum, which still unwavers - I am fed up with the seriously SLOW technical support that is offered by them. It's ALWAYS been slow. But this is too slow.

To be fair - WHEN you do get support they know what's up.

Did you check the "I'm not able to use Drag and Drop on the Macintosh" item in the FAQs?

I believe it's under Operational issues/FAQs or you can search for drag and drop.

I'm not able to use Drag and Drop on the Macintosh.
Go to <user>/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics and get information on the Spectrasonics folder by highlighting the Spectrasonics folder, holding the Apple key and pressing I.
Under Ownership and Permissions, please make sure that the Spectrasonics folder has Read and Write access.

ALREADY DID THIS AND MENTIONED IN THE THREAD.

    but thanks
