    EastWestQuantum Leap and Notation

Thinking about purchasing East West Platinum. I would prefer to see notation as well as midi "notes". (Remember Studio Vision? Those were the days.) I can't tell from any literature I've seen if there is an orchestral score view with this software. Does any one know or have any suggestions?

    Thanks - Kers

EWQL is only a collection of sampled orchestral instruments. Notation software is not included.

You may be confusing it with a sequencer. You'll need one in order to do any recording with EWQL. Many sequencers have notation capability, but most are quite crude.

For better notation, you'll be better off with a dedicated notation program, such as Finale or Sibelius. The downside is that dedicated notation programs are inferior for recording compared to sequencers.

Thanks Dan. I realized later I asked the question the wrong way. Thanks. I had a feeling that would be the answer. Cheers.
