    string quartet

I have not posted in a while but I was messin' around with the strad and gofriller and I came up with this string quartet. I would like some input on this. I have had the strad and gofriller for months now and I am just getting around to use them. Go figure. Any advice would be appreciated.

I was very poor when the Grof and the Strad were available, (as if I am not now), so I can't help you with that aspect. But I have heard a lot of music done with them and this is right up there with the Best of them.

To me the string quartet is the ultimate in music, 4 lines to do it all.

The only suggestion I would give is maybe a touch more variation in the dynamics.

    Very nice

Thanks for listening and commenting rolifer. I did not realize that there was already a post with the title "String Quartet". Oh well.

I just reread my comment and realized I made a nother typ[ing error.

I meant to type it was right up there with the Best of them, not the rest.

My proofreading is not what it used to be.

A pleasure to listen to, Jay.

Handling these string libraries... from my own experience,
they'll give you a great deal back, but they sure do ask
for a lot to get it... lol.

If I had to take very close, critical comment on this, I
think the main thing I'd look at is attacks at beginnings
of phrases, which often seem very slightly too, hmmm,
"unaggressive", perhaps? Maybe a little more bite in
them? (Please don't ask me how to do that... rofl.)

    Very well done, my friend!

    All the best,

    Re: string quartet

This was a nice piece. Very relaxing and well written.

I have the Strad but haven't had the ambition to tackle it lately.

A good amount of tonal variations, it has a nice feel about it.

My only suggestions would be what's been mentioned above... more 'attack' and some changes in dynamics. Perhaps too a few variations in tempo/meter.

    Thanks for the listen.
