Hi David,
This is a really wonderful piece and I appreciate the time it took to put this together for us to listen to. I was engaged from beginning to end...

A delightful piece of music, Mr. David. I enjoyed it, from the first plink to the very end.
As you well know, this genre is not usually my 'cup of tea' but this work is definitely an exception.
Thanks for posting this.

Wow, this was so, utterly beautiful. I love the dynamics in the piece. And the tonal harmonies that "sneaks in" at times really works great. It just moved me, really.
Terrific work, David!
I’ll echo the positive comments on the opening.. quite wonderful!
Your arrangements are so visual!..
As a painter, It’s very easy for me to get lost in this network of structure you’ve created, albeit a precarious one.
Still, what a fun journey!
Great work (…as usual)

.
Many thanks, David. And how could I possibly be anything
but complimented by being placed in the company of Hovhaness
and Rautavaara!
All the best,
David

Hi Jan,
Thanks for the kind words, Jan, I'm pleased you
enjoyed the piece.
One of the ideas I was working with in this (aside from theThe orchestral textures are wonderful, with great interplay between sparseness and lushness, and between jagged percussion and piano on the one hand and the more spun-out sound of the strings on the other.
reference to physics) was "entangling" simultaneously elements
of contrast that might otherwise more normally be presented
sequentially.
Thanks again for listening, my friend.I also like how triads seem occasionally to emerge and darken into more ambiguous harmonies; I even thought I heard a Ravel-like bluesy harmony in bar 7, but that might just be me. The repeated one-note theme (last played by the clarinet at bar 49) sounds insistent, but also slightly despairing, as if it's trying to say something that is never manages to articulate. In short, great stuff, and a very nice way indeed of ending my Sunday evening!
Best wishes,
Jan

Some nice 'stuff' here David, but where is it going. I was dissapointed because it got going and then stopped. Hmm, maybe I am diabilical, but I wanted it to build and go somewhere more dramatic.
Big fan, but will wait for the continuation.
Best,
Bill
