The End of The World Project: NEW PIECE!

    Hi everyone,

It's more than 1 month that I didn't post anything about this project. After the intro of the project, what about the conclusion? This one it's the ideal continuation of the Overture (in terms of mood and style), and the ideal conclusion, I think, for this project. It's an improvisation which features a synthetizer I used with my Yamaha MO8, GPO Full Strings Section, Woodwinds of different kinds and, of course, the E. Guitar. I'm still working on the other pieces with my rock band and soon I hope to show you something more about this.

The End Of The World: 15. Everything Lost In This World

Here's the cover we decided to make for this:

    Hope you'll enjoy.

    Best regards,

    Andrea.

Hi Andrea, I clicked on your link and it took me to the soundclick page, but it was maybe the home page and not a link to your song. I'll try again later.

Yes, I just find a home page and a list of friends with no reference to your music at all. I would like to hear this. Try getting an embedding link from your statistical page and paste it here in your thread.

Try now. On the page that appears, click on "Play Hi-fi". Let's see it it works...

Andrea, The link now works just fine. I played the hi-fi version and I like the piece, although when the guitar comes in it is a bit loud in the mix for my old ears. I was concentrating on the low volume pad and it took me by surprise.

I thought you might like to know your Toccata has been downloaded over 500 times on my box.net page. The classic perspective has the most hits, over 200. Have you written anything more in this vein?

Nice work on your project, but you're way too young to be thinking about the end of the world. Buon Natale! John

Thanks for the kind words. For the title of the project, is just a figurative title. You'll have to wait next tracks to have an hint on what I'm talking about. I'm very happy the Toccata had so many downloads. Anyway, don't expect something similar for piano solo soon. I'm working on 2 composition contests, one for choral music and another for chamber orchestra, and I'm working with the original music of my rock band so I'm a bit busy. Anyway, when I'll have something new, I'll let you know.

    Best regards,

    Andrea.

P.S.: Merry Xmas to you, too!

As mentioned above, I think perhaps you might want
to bring the pad up a bit in the mix -- but an interesting,
dark study of the end of the world. I like the use of
guitar against an essentially orchestral background.

    Best,

I like this music but the guitar sound needs work.

I'm hearing something more mellow and melodic like in the blues guitar tradition in my head.
