    Remembrance

This was part of a larger piece I posted but I think it stands well on it's own.

It's been remixed and the G. Piano has been swapped in.

The blend of instruments creates the mood the title suggests in an excellent manner. It has a quiet flow, nostalgic and sometimes with melancholy. The piano is lovely.

A very enjoyable composition. Well done.

    Phil,

This piece certainly stands on its own!

Quite new-age style, giving the feeling of floating in the sky on a white cloud and looking down on earth...

I like how the flute is heard a bit in the distance.

One can really hear this piece again and again...

    Thanks,

    Yudit

Thanks. It was written to suggest feeling of melancholy and lost youthful innocence.

    Happy you enjoyed it Euler!

I'm glad you concur about it's own merits

It was intended to be all the good vibes left over from my hippie days while looking back upon them.

One can really hear this piece again and again...
I agree it's infectious in a pop sense.

I appreciate your kind comments Yudit.

Enjoyed this very much Phil. A good, relaxing sound enhanced by the mellow use of piano which works well with the flute. Melancholic, yet generally uplifting in the use of rising phrases. Kept this looping for sometime.....

I see myself sitting by a little stream out in a field of wild flowers; butterflies dancing amid the blooms.

It's right after a gentle rain and a rainbow is visible towards the end of the field. Just then a beautiful redheaded goddess appears, sees me and begins in slowmotion to run towards me.

Almost sounds like some cheesy commercial doesn't it? My story that is, not your music.

    A very visually stimulating piece.

    Easily stands on its own.

BTW... Every redheaded goddess I have ever met has turned into a redheaded demon in time. But what a time they can be.

A very lovely, moving reflective study, Phil -- and
you're right, it stands beautifully on its own.

There is a certain New Age quality to it (I happen
to like a lot of New Age material); but there's also
solid melodic content to it, and a certain narrative
quality that carries it forward well.

    I won't comment on redheads.

    All my best,

Glad you enjoyed listening to it. It's one I also listened to more than my others for the mood setting.

    Thanks for the nice comments.

Hey, was that redhead Nicole Kidman. I also have an eye for the redheads. I only have dated one and unfortunately the wrapping was more attractive than what was inside.

But I do like your vision for the music. I does have a flowing natural feel to it.

    Thanks Ron.

Yes, I think the New Age term sometimes can be misleading as a marketing tool and lumps artists with very different musical goals into a pretty broad genre. I hope this does communicate more than just nice meditative sounds.

    Thank again

    Phil:

Definitely "New Age" style. It certainly does have that
relaxed quality about it and contains that "flowing"
    melodic characteristic.

Very nice rendering and the piano sounds really good.
Thanks for sending this our way, Phil.
