SCENES FRO THE WEST for Band

A piece for Middle School Band with some challenges.
    Three movements
    I. Scenery passes fast as you drive by
II. Night in a Ghost Town
    III. DIRT DEVILS

Gary, Nice writing and arranging on this. The movements are a nice contrast. I don't know anything about band, except as a parent and grandparent attending concerts over the years, but this does seem like it would be a challenge for that age level. But with a good hand on the baton, anything is possible.
Is "dirt devil" the same thing as a "dust devil"? Like a mini vortex of dust?
    Or a vacuum cleaner. John

    Thanks for listening, Bigears.
This is a challenge for the M S Band, but not for the really accomplished Bands. The ranges & rhythms are typical for that level, and the keys are Ab; Eb & Bb Concert. The real challenge is the tempo in Dirt (Dust) Devils. It's in Cut-time with eights & Quarters.
    It's probably a grade III (I-V)
