    Concerto For Piano And Strings

    Updated 12/24/08

I did take John and David's advice and modify the arpeggios in the first movement and made other changes and did a remixed.

I've used Art Vista's VGP on this one and all other instruments are GPO.

Well, bells ought to count for something, right? I really liked the solo piano portion of this. That was very pretty. The orchestral part sounded OK to me at first, but then the quarter note arpeggios started wearing thin. Maybe some variation to break that up a bit. But maybe I don't know what I'm talking about.
That piano sounds pretty good too. I'm not familiar with Art Vista, I'll have to check them out. Merry Christmas to you! John

You know, I do hear inferences of "Silent Night" in the
intrada portion of this, Phil... so Christmas it is.

I'd go with John on this, about perhaps a little more
rhythmic variation in the opening section.

Some very nice piano work in this, especially where it
    takes off a bit!

    My best,

    David

    John & David

I think I'm going to put this one back in the shop and totally replace the first movement with something more flowing and emotive.

I also think it needs some work where the strings come back in after the solo piano. It doesn't connect well there and maybe it needs some work on the instruments and mix.

Thanks for the comments and suggestions.
