    two recorded "LIVE" Christmas tunes

    Hi everyone and Merry Christmas,,,,
I apologize that there are no Garritan instruments in these two recordings.
I always like to post something reverent on Christmas Eve, so here it is...

This is two songs I recorded "live" from First United Methodist Church of St. Charles Missouri. I recorded the concert this past Saturday evening at their Christmas concert.

    O Holy Night

    Still, Still, Still

Dr. David N. Wallis, the director, is also a contributor of this year's Garritan Community Christmas CD. Track 5 Puer Nobis is his selection.

It is this church choir that I have recorded for Garritan Christmas songs What Child is This, and Hark! The Herald Angels Sing.

Thank you David for the beautiful music!

    Merry Christmas everyone!

Thank you Dan, I'm off to hear my own church choir and our Christmas Eve Service.

Thanks Dan for sharing these. That must have been a remarkable night with sounds like these reverberating in that church. Thanks also for all you do in putting the Garritan Community CD together. Never doubt that it is enjoyed by many and hugely appreciated. Merry Christmas Dan!

    Our thanks to Dr. Wallis and the choir and orchestra;
and of course for your own fine recording skills, Dan.
    Very beautifully done.

    Merry Christmas, my friend!

    Always my best,

Very nice. Especially Still, Still, Still.

We have had two historic weeks of snowy weather which has caused us to cancel all of our seasonal choir performances. We did make a recording of some of them so at least we have that to listen to.

Still, Still, Still was one of our best songs.

Next month we start working on Faure's Requiem that we will perform with a small orchestra if we can get the funding.

    Thanks for the post.

how strange Phil, I just posted on your topic about you and your Mom.

Thanks for expressing your feelings with us here. Even though we have never met, I have great concern for you and your Mom.

Thanks for always having such nice words.

I trust this next year will bring you some "tests", but just remember that these tests will make us stronger, I know that sounds so cliche, but it is true.

Rich, I am at the point where the Christmas concerts and Christmas Eve services are the things I look forward to the most at Christmas. I hope yours were great!

John, thank you for posting, I think I get as much pleasure coordinating the Garritan Christmas CD as people listening to it.
Thank you! I 'm glad you like it too.

David, thank you for laways wishing me your best
    Thank you too!

Have a safe and wonderfully peaceful new year!
