    Nos Galan - revised version

This is a very short version of Nos Galan with the Garritan Strad and the Gofriller cello. I was hoping to make this sound like it would have a couple of hundred years ago, when etlux and I were just lads.
    Merry Christmas!

    LOL

You came real close....it has the sound of about a 198 year old live performance. LOL

If you ever do a longer version I would love to get a copy of it.

OK! All I need is some grog, and a chilly bar...
    Good job-it sounds authentic.

VERY nice rendition indeed. I enjoyed the loose improvisational feel it has. And excellent work on the strad part. That has a gr8 sound to it.

    Thanks for the listen.

    Cheers.

Now wait a second. You need to think back, John.
When we were kids, there wasn't any music. It was
old goats like you and me that invented the stuff... lol.

I like the sound and feel on this, John -- close in, very
intimate, like you're standing next to the players... but
still with good resonance, very realistic. Fine rendering!

    Merry Christmas, my friend!

    Best,

    Re: Nos Galan

Thanks to all who have listened and commented on this song. I took Hippie's suggestion and added some variations to this. I flashed on the movie "Master and Commander" and the scene where the two main characters were playing some music and were goofing with each other and having some fun with the tune. I have tried to capture some of that with this version. I hope this is enjoyed! John

I'll have to take your word on how it sounded back then but it sure is different!

    Enjoyed this! Nice job!

All I can say is Wow! I think you missed the renaissance feel in a few places, but the piece sounded incredible. I could hear the fretting and the bow on the strings... absolutely superb job at rendering this one.

    Thanks for the listen.
