    A Full-Size Soprano Saxophone for $35,- !!

To show you the quality of the Chris Hein Instruments, I decided to do a promotion sale
For a limited time I offer a Full-Size Soprano Saxophone out of the Chris Hein - Horns
series as downloadable Kontakt2 instrument for only: €25,- $35,-

Unlike the other CH-instruments the Soprano Sax doesn't include the Kontakt-Player.
Kontakt 2.2.4 or Kontakt3 is required to load and play the Sax.

You can order and download the CH-Soprano Sax here:

I can hardy concentrate on the Sax, because the strings are so beautiful. :-)

    a quick question:
is there a control for expression?
i have garritan orchestral and the use of modwheel to dynamic control volume is a must for me.
    is there something similar here?

You can assign any function to any controller.
By default CC11 is set to Velo-Fade which lets you blend between the velocities.
This works better in sections, but is also included in the solo-instruments.
You can easily change CC11 to control volume.

Have a look at these videos for more details:

The sounds of the demos make this a very tempting offer!

For Christmas I got me an EWI USB. How playable is the Soprano with a windcontroller?

I really like Soprano Sax! It is a revelation to me, a violinist (and newbie sampler/electronics guy after 35+ years of professional live music), how many control parameters he has been able to include for Kontakt. I look forward to trying to write for a wind instrument, after years of string arrangements!

Might I add that Chris is FANTASTIC on customer service? I had trouble downloading SS (kept getting broken downloads), and Chris personally made sure that I got it, changing a server in the process. With that kind of service for a "small potato" like me, I have complete faith in his operation. Thanks, Chris!!

    later,
    John

    Yes indeed,
the demos and the price make it a very attractive offer....

    YET....
As an old, faithfull, convinced and enthusiastic CH's libs user, I already for sure do know I WILL without a doubt purchase CHH vol 4 when it's released anyway...

So, for once -and probably my budget being tight right now makes this resolution easier- I'll just be patient and reasonable (even if it's hard to resist) and wait untill this upcoming/promising new lib of yours is released (april or june if I get it right ?), just to avoid (as another editor says) buying the same samples twice.

But, as usual, well done, and well thought, Chris.
And congratulations : I hope that 2009 will definitely be a fruitfull year for yourself and your talent !

So now, you got it : I'm just expecting vol 3 and 4 .
Therefore, no longer waste your (our ?) precious time eating oysters and drinking champagne, and back to work, it's january 3rd already !!
