Solo for duo clarinets & double woodwind quintet

An adaption of a piece written for a different group. It's odd to revisit something from 4 years ago.

I enjoyed this. That's an interesting ensemble.

The horn sounded back a ways but it can probably be overbearing if it's too up front.

    Good work here.

Gary, This sounds good. What's the lineup in your woodwind quintet? I'm not familiar with all the instruments I guess. I thought I was hearing a French Horn and a low bassoon type instrument in this. Thanks for another good listen, John

    Thanks for listening, Phil.
The horn can easily cover all the instruments especially if only one woodwind is playing. In life, a horn player can adjust-unlike the computer...
    Thanks for listening, John.
A double woodwind quintet consists of duplicate pairs of players. 2 flutes, 2 clarinets, 2 horns:
I subbed an Eng Horn for 2nd oboe and a contra bassoon for 2nd Bassoon.

Hi Gary - This is one of my faves from you. Enjoyed it much, had fun recognizing some characteristic Mosse touches - the unexpected hesitations in particular.

Recording-wise, I think you did a good job in balancing those pesky Horns with the more delicate woods.

    Nice job!

    Thanks for listening, Randy.
I'm probably too close to know what Mossisms I use, but it's great thatU pay attention.
