    Omni/Stylus Problem in Cubase 3.1

    seem to have a problem when i try to run omni or stylus in my Cubase . I get a crackle over the sound itself no matter what i load .

    This is normally a pad...
    The funny thing is that Omni works in Sibelius 5 .
    Any idea what i should do ?

    Running Cubase 4.1 with no problems.
    Cubase 4 uses more resources than SX.
    What's your system specs?

    intel 2.7 ghz dualcore , 2 gb ddr2 , gigabyte mb , realtek HD (earning money for a soundcard ) , xp sp2

    Your problem is your sound card. Cubase specs and Getting Started guides clearly indicate that a suitable digital audio interface with it's own solid ASIO driver is required for Cubase. On-board audio, Realtek devices and consumer audio cards simply don't have what it takes to function well in Cubase. Totally surprised that you would invest in plug-ins like Omnisphere without first acquiring the hardware needed, but I'm sure you had your reasons. In any case, when funds become available c/o interfaces from companies like RME. M-Audio, Presonus etc..........playz
