Brand new JABB not seen by Sonar

    Hi all.

The problem below may have already been discussed in the forum, though I could not find any reference to it.

I just installed JABB v2 on XP64. As a Sequencer I have Sonar Home Studio 6 XL 64 bits.

When I try to add JABB to an audio track's effects field Sonar does not see JABB in its Audio or MIDI Effects library. The path to the libraries and Kontact 2 is given to Sonar in its configuration tab.

Does this have anything to do with XP64 and Sonar 64 having compatibility issues?

    Thanks, John.

    Hi, John

I really don't understand this sentence at all - "... I try to add JABB to an audio track's effects field Sonar does not see JABB in its Audio or MIDI Effects library..."

You don't add soft synths to an "audio track's effects field"--You insert Kontakt, asking for all audio outputs and a starting MIDI track, then inside KP2 (Kontakt) you look at JABB on the left hand side of the GUI and select the instruments you want. The MIDI track that appears will already be linked to the first audio track which also appeared--and off you go.

If it's v2, then look for the NI Kontakt Player 2, and then load the JABB files in there as Randy says.

If you don't see NI Kontakt Player 2 in your list, look "Tools|Cakewalk Plugin Manager" and click on "Scan VST Plug-ins". If it was stalled in the correct VST directory, then it should appear in your menus.
