    trouble with activation (Complete Classical Collection) - solved !

    Hi,

    i have bought the Bestservice Complete Classical Collection and the installation was just fine.
    anyway, i have no chance to activate this one with the NI Service Center while the Activate Button is greyed out and non clickable.

    i can play the Sounds in Kontakt Player (latest Version) Standalone and under Logic Studio, but only in Demo Mode.

    The NI Service Center haven`t created a System ID for this one

    i also got Garritan GPO V.3 and Bestservice Galaxy II, both are working like a charm and there wasn`t any trouble to activate them in the NI Service Center.

    so im just confused what i can do now.

    perhaps anyone here can help

    Just a thought, but did you remember to deactivate your antivirus software for the installation? Most AV stuff is fine with new installations, but there are some which cause all sorts of mess when new programs try to rewrite protected system files - which is what most of these authorisation/activation/registration programs need to do.

    so, while i`m on a mac i don`t have any anti virus software installed.

    Hi,
    I can't solve your problem, but I can give you some information.
    a) If you just bought CCC, you should return it to the dealer for a full refund. Dealers are NOT authorized to sell that product anymore and that has been in effect for over 6 months now. In fact last fall EW was attempting to track down and stop anyone from selling it. The product is no longer supported nor will you find it on their web site.
    b) EW is no longer associated with NI and does not use NI software (they have their own Play engine now). It is also my understanding that currently there is an on-going legal dispute between the two companies.
    c) Whether or not NI will support CCC and other old EW Kontakt based software is now in the hands of NI; EW will have nothing to do with it. As a courtesy, NI appears to be continuing to support previosuly installed NI authorized CCC components, but are under no obligation to register any 'new' purchases.
    Hope this helps. If it were me, I would never have considered buying CCC lately.......nor should it have been sold to you. Good luck and I suggest that you contact NI (not EW) if you have questions about registration............playz

    thanks a lot for your answer !

    the complete classical collection is not an east west product, it`s a bestservice product and i got it directly from bestservice`s 2 for 1 promotion.

    so eastwest is only the distributor outside europe but it is a bestservice product.
    anyway, i`m from europe and i got it yesterday directly from bestservice.

    Sorry for the misunderstanding. I was of course referring to the "Complete Composers Collection" from EastWest, which has also been referred to as "CCC" for many years. I should have paid closer attention.

    Off topic, I'm afraid, but if you are on a Mac you should have anti-virus software installed! The days when Maccees could afford to ignore such things are long past!

    However if one's computer is not used to access the internet, and is dedicated to music.... an approach many folks these days have decided to take...then no anti virus software is required.

    hm, never heard of any virus for mac os x (except all these warnings from virus software companies but hey, they want to sell their software).
    i`m a mac user since 1999 and i have seen only one virus on mac os 9.

    so while everything else is working nice here, i really don`t think that i`ve got a virus problem with the not working activation of the ccc.

    all other kontakt player librarys and ni software works perfect.
