Lightbulb Mr. SAX T...Darn!..they got it again!

I Got "Sample Modeling" Mr. SAX T, by Stefano Lucato & SampleModeling team, featuring a tenor Sax solo Virtual Instrument...and it's amazing.

I recommend everybody intersted in a solo SAX to have a look for it. The out of the box playability and realism is atonishing, and if you played some of the instruments like Stradi, Gofriller, The Trumpet, the learning curve is nearly zero: immediate control.

But if you dig a little you find a universe of additional nuances and controllers giving you an unprecedented power just in real time with a single and light VI, compared to all other existing solo instrument SAX sample libraries.

By the way that's what makes the "Sample Modeling" VI approach different. the single instrument playability and real time programming control, as aopposed to the multi articulation and multi samples matrix approach of Vienna or other sample based VI.

But better I stop words, and let you check by yourself if it's intersting or not:

Just have a look and let me know what do you think...

Listening to the video - note to note attacks are too similar (mho, obviously). Is there any way of adding random or controlled variation?

Yes of course, you have a wide and deep control on parameters influencing both the random (for quick sequencing or real time play) and programming single note nuances (attac, growl, noise...etc.)

In my opinion the video, a part for the nice keyboard performance of Stefano, is not the best source of audio preview.

I recommend you listen to some more demos, and user demos mostly show intersting use of the instrument, including real time wind controller and WDI use, and advanced programming.

Thumbs up Re: Mr. SAX T...Darn!..they got it again!

    Ive also got this baby!
    Its absolutely amazing!
At first the demos and video sounded very unrealistic....and the attacks of the notes where too synthy....But as always....you cant judge a library by the demos I thought.. Seeing as i am able to get very realistic sectionwork out of Garritan JABB......But anyway....Then i saw youtube video by berniesax (search for him on youtube) playing with Mr. Sax T and the Akai breath controller...

So after experiencing it myself......WOW!!!! Mindblowing!!!!!....I actually cant tell the difference between that and a real sax when i play it....
Im going to upgrade my pc soon so i can make bigger sections with that and The Trumpet....

Ive already made a lil something with the sax and three trumpets....It sounds just like the real thing.....Will upload sometime....

Those blokes at Sample Modeling are gods at what they do....

This tenor sax sounds even way better to me than the one in BBB...

Thank you so much Sample modeling and those guys whos names i cant spell without looking it up.....

Wink Re: Mr. SAX T...Darn!..they got it again!

    LOL

...so finally YOU got it also...

I'm not crazy, it's just what I was talking about...

By the way the true experience is play and program it as you like in your system: befor I had it, I was also a bit sceptical, even if I know the potential of the technology.

Once i started playing it every doubt disappeared...
