    Ride Of The Black Knight

This is a cut down stripped down version of the original I did last year, I took 2+ minutes out of the middle.....that was fun. LOL

Violin solo and Cellos are from GPO, bass guitar is my Fender P-Bass, bass synth , Tubular bells, choir are from my Yamaha So8.

I will more than likely do a big version of this later.

edit I made a small change to the track.

That's very nice, Mr. Hippie! Pretty and lyrical, yet dramatic. Enjoyed it.

    Thanks for posting.

Thank you very much Larry, I didn't know how this was going to come off when I finished 45 minutes ago.

    I feel better now...Thanks again.

Hi Hippie, I'm listening for the second time now. This is nicely done, I like the change at about 1:20 and then again at 1:50. This does seem dramatic and cinematic to me too. Another good one! Thanks, John

Sometimes things benefit from the ax, Hippie... say
what ya gotta say and go home... lol.

But you know what? I think you've got some good
launch-pad material in this... maybe you might consider
developing it further. In my head, I kept hearing some
floating brass riffs riding over the padding...

    Big, solid sound, as always!

    Best,

    Thanks David.

I'll be doing a BIG version and I will put the 2+ minutes back in it to give me time for a big build at the end.

Great work, I love the big open sound you have going, the deep bassy opening.I agree with David I could definitely see the room for some horns! Looking forward to that big version as well. I really like the bells, they add a lot.

    Thanks Chris.

I am going to change the title of this to 'The Last Ride Of The Black Knight' and have Amazing Grace follow it.

The BIG version will be the original full length version that I will rerecord putting everything plus the kitchen sink and my laundry in it. LOL

    Hippie

I have a piano piece that is 13 minutes long that I need to cut down to 6-7 minutes so I know how difficult it can be to cut music.

I just read David's (etlux) post and just as I was reading it I also heard in my head some big brass lines that could be in there.

Not that it needs that. Just depends on what effect you are looking for.

    Very nice piece

I keep waiting for percussion to kick in. You have such depth and direction in this material. It feels as if it is building to a climax yet reached. Good work on this.
