    Garritan Organ Package

I remember a few postings about a year ago with screen shots of the Garritan Organ package. Whatever happened to that? Still in the queue?

    thanks

so, how do these organ libraries work?

    the same as GPO?

or can you create mixtures without needing to have new channels and new staves (I use notation) for each sound you use?

Well, I have to confess I have done that! However, for the benefit of forum members, it's worth pointing out that Hauptwerk is a 'player'. It does come with a superb free English church organ (St Anne's, Moseley) and there are some other free samples available for download. I think it would be fair to say that Hauptwerk is otherwise very expensive and quite specialist. I splashed out because I specifically wanted an English organ rather than the usual baroque - and I guess that's not a 'run of the mill' requirement.

Yes, as can be seen from the old post Phil posted the link to, the Organ Library was announced a year ago at the January 2008 NAMM.

As per Gary's recent posts talking about what a tumultuous year it's been, it's one of the company's projects coming out slower than hoped for. But it's surely to be released in the ARIA format, so should be a winner when we have it available.

yup it's pretty expensive.. I downloaded the demoversion with the StAnne's organ... can you lower the air sound btw?? a tad noisy ..

specialist yes.. suits me nice as I'm also about to build a huge three manual console for it with full pedals - and will build a computer just to run it..

I recon this to be a better option than buying a digital console pipe organ - no matter how large.. using a multichannel audiointerface and multiple active monitors behind fake pipes.. first part of my project is finding a used pedalboard as this is something I'd rather not want to build myself.

Yes that's it. I built a belfry to house it and I've been sitting there practicing my maniacal laughing. So now, I just need the Pipe Organ Package.
