Q About Sib 5/Logic Pro 7 and Garritan's K2 sibelius content.
I just spent some time helping a friend upgrade his MIDI orchestration skills, but the context was mostly about doing things like modwheel crossfades and keyswitches. Fairly basic stuff that he was not yet familiar with. He has and prefers Logic Pro 7, but as far as his existing sound palette goes, he was most interested in the capabilities of the K2 Garritan content that was bundled with Sibelius 5.
We tried to figure out if the K2 player and Garritan content could be run from within Logic on his MacBook, but unfortunately, I'm not a mac person, so we couldn't really tell if there was a way to e.g., copy the plugin or have logic scan for it.
Any kind souls out there with these apps care to lend some advice in the form of either a short step-by-step or at least pointing us to the directories that Sib and Logic default to looking for plugs?
