    "O Come, O Come Emmanuel"

Let's hope we all know the tune. This short arrangement is in 7/8 with some ethnic percussion, harp, strings, handbells, french horn, and piano. I used Finale 2009 with Garritan Aria and Finale's GPO lite.

(Yes, I know my last post was a Christmas song as well; I'm working on an album for [hopefully] this Christmas. To break up the classic hymns, I'll post some original Christmas songs once I sit down and record the vocals. [Where's Garritan Voice?])

Well, that's sure a different arrangement of this piece.

I think I would shorten the drum solos by half maybe but that's up to you.

I did like it and was a refreshing seasonal piece.

This is a nice take on a Christmas classic. I like what you have done with it.
One thing I would take a look at is the panning of the instruments. The harp and piano sounded right on top of one another to me (on headphones).
Thanks for sharing this piece and good luck with your album of Christmas tunes! John

    Hi Matthew,

That was very nice; you really got the 7/8 cookin' ... Don Ellis would have loved it! I felt the drum intro/outro was just about right. A 7/8 Christmas song ... very original.
