No control over Bass Drum hit in CMB

    Found my error
Discovered that I'd somehow begun sending cc to channel 11 DUH

Using the British Brass Band multi which uses the Basic Orchestra GPO Percussion I cannot get any control over the Bass Drum (B1) hit.

I'm using Sonar 8pe with the drums on midi channel 10.
Sending a note on B1 triggers the bass drum. but no control or any combination changes the striking force.

    Note Velocity set to 1-127
    CC1 1-127
BDag (bass drum aggressive) = 0
    Mod wheel set anywhere
The bass drum sounds the same.

But the Kontakt keyboard does change the strike level as you move the trigger point from the front of the key to the back of the key. So I assume it is velocity sensitive somehow?

Snare roll on C#3 is controllable with CC#1

    Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Fred

    That'll do it every time.

    Glad you figured it out.

Hi, Fred - Glad you discovered your little user error. hehe.

But in case it's unclear, I wanted to point out that CC1 doesn't control volume on most of the percussion instruments, Bass Drums included. The Cymbal rolls use CC1 so you can do a swell, and those are the exceptions. The rest have their volumes controlled solely by velocity.
