Return Of The Dragon Slayer with Short Intro

This is the intro and first track for my CD. The intro is a small, simple and short version of Forever Never More followed by Return Of The Dragon Slayer.

Now I have to write 3 to 4 more songs, record them and then........... I'm done.

hehehehe, you're crackin' me up, Aram. This is an effective, sweeping opening for your CD, full of promise of the Grandeur to come--because it's ANything but "small"--it's Grand and noble sounding. Neat stuff.

Simple, yes, but um--"small"---IIII don't think so.

    LOL

    Thanks Randy.

Well the short intro is kind of small compared to the full track I took it from. LOL

    Are we having fun yet?

NICE, Aram! This will be a good opening for your CD. The "Return of the Dragon Slayer" portion of this is, as Randy said, "grand and noble" sounding. I think I would like to hear something like a soaring trumpet, or the guitar track come up out of the mix and give the listener something to focus on. The chord progression starts to get a little repetitive and IMO would benefit from a nice instrument being "up front" a bit more. I like the deep drum sound in this a lot, maybe that could even come up in the mix. Good stuff! John

Ah, that is good, Aram. I was assuming you'd be doing that, but glad to hear for sure that's the plan. It's a good CD intro that does still need a melodic layer to help maintain interest.

Yesterday when I first heard the intro, I could also hear how heavily reverberant percussion echoing in the distance on the off beats could maybe be good foreshadowing.

    Thanks Randy.

The intro into Return Of The Dragon Slayer is from Forever Never More stripped down. After I get the guitar in then I will play around with some different things I have been wanting to try. The guitar will tell me what will work.

When I put the lead guitar in Forever Never More I had to remix the 56 tracks because the guitar changed the feel of the song. Good thing I love mixing & mastering.
