    "Exercise For Mandolin And Strings"

    Y'all,

Here is my just-completed "Exercise For Mandolin And Strings".

The mandolin is from the BOB American Folk Instruments sample library from a company known as Bolder Sounds. All of the strings are GPO.

Mandolin was the very first instrument that I learned to play at the tender age of five.

Nope...no joke. Mandolin was the first musical instrument I learned to play. (Self-taught)

Thanks for listening and commenting, Mr. Aram

    Regards,

I was talking about the tender age of five thing.

I would have never thought of using a Mandolin in a track with strings.

Larry, Wow! You got five clapping Hippies! I'll have to give you a tip of the old Stetson for this one.

Really like this melody and the combination of mando and strings. Well done!
    John

Oh, I have a mandolin joke for you. Do you know what the definition of a half step is?

    Two mandolins playing in unison.

    Mr Larry

Well I am another one of them hippies clapping.

Baltimore has (or at least did have) a Mandolin Chamber ensemble. It is a very versatile instrument and a lot of fun to listen to.

    Well done as always

I am pleased that you are pleased, Mr. Ron. Thanks for taking the time to listen.

I also have sample libraries for the Mandolo and the Mandolo-Cello, both of which are in the mandolin family. I think that I just may give them a try.

Nice use of the mandolin with classical strings.

It has a good clean sound.

I've always liked the mandolin when it was used in rock tunes also.

I'm curious to hear those other instruments.
