    Kontakt 3 & CH Soprano-Sax, a special demo

    Hi friends,

today I want you present a special demo. What is special here?

Well, some weeks ago I got the Chris Hein Sopranosax, a sweet instrument. Chris always says here and in other forums that he liked it if someone edited his instruments.

I am learning Kontakt 3`s opportunities, so I did many editings, but in this process I tweaked not only the sax.

I have built some new instruments (basses-drums-pads-organs-guitars-harp-harpichord...., only with some samples from the soprano-sax and the great opportunities of Kontakt Sampler 3. No external Plugin/effect is used!

Here is another one where the Soprano-Sax is transformed into rock&roll instruments.

Please listen and tell me what do you think.

    Thanks

Hey man, that sounds great. It seems you had much fun and enjoyed it.
Chris Soprano is really fantastic and seeing it is used in a different context
    is quite inspiring.

Keep em coming ( the demos I mean )
    best regards

    Gunther,

The first one, how'd you do that? That sounds much better than what I got with the same soprano sax and K3. Very, very nice indeed!

    Best Regards,

    Tony

Hi Gunthger, I really don't like is the sound of the bass, but the sax is good!
At times, I hear the room where the sax was sampled, like when the sax was not as close to the mic. Ironically, lots of jazz players stray from the mic anyway so this makes it even more authentic
Didn't care for the second one at all, too cheezy, and there was no sax in it.

    Cool Gunther!

    Thanks Tony.

What you hear is not the original Soprano-Sax. I have edited it in many ways, so now it`s my customised Sax.

    Hi Dan,

thanks for your comments! The 2nd demo "rocky" is more a joke... .

Yeah, the room is cool. It is a short impulse that is called "Natural" and that is includet in the sax. Because I used it I added no early reflections-reverb in the mix. Great that you hear this!

About the bass, yepp, you are right, there was a pickbass used who is also a little bit out of tune....

I have built another bass and did an editing today, specifically for you.

Experimenting with samples in Kontakt 3 is very important and makes a lot of fun. Very soon I will start building instruments with my own samples.

    Thanks again,
