Hi Fred, Another nice surprise this morning, a new work by Fredrik. I have seen that famous courtyard in a number of different films and concert pieces. The
classical guitarist John Williams did a video concert staged there. Is that in the palace called the "Alhambra"?
Your piece starts off at a fast clip and doesn't let up much. I really liked the extended pizz section at the end and thought it captured a lot of the Spanish
I'm listening to the second movement now and although it maintains a fast pace initially, there's a very beautiful slow section with some nice dialogue for the horns and woodwinds. I like the theme at the end of the slow section and then the minor section that follows.
You sure have a lot of music in you! Thanks again for a great musical excursion. John
That is wongerful Fred.

Hi Fred, Thanks for the link to the Max Schultz video. I listened to several of the videos of the group. There is a nice one with a brass trio, plus sax, guitar, bass and drums called "Irish Dream" that I liked a lot.
One of my favorite works for guitar and orchestra is the "Concierto de Aranjuez"
by Joaquin Rodrigo. I was happy to hear your plans to write for the guitar.
Maybe someday your work will be performed by guitarists all across the world, that would be something. John
