    medieval instrments

    I can get samples for didgeridoos, shenais, shakuhatchis and other even more exotic instruments. What would be really nice would be to have a library of medieval and baroque instruments; recorders, shawms, krumhorns, mute cornets, rebecs, vielles, lutes, portative organs - that sort of things. A medieval ensemble makes a truly beautiful sound.

    Sampletekk has some stuff can be interesting for you. "Renaissance flutes", baroque organ, etc.

    But, talking about recorders, i suggest you to use real ones, not difficult to record and can give you more realims than a midi programation.

    Westgate Studios 'Rare Winds' has a variety of recorders.

    I got curious and did a little searching. I searched Medieval Multisamples and found this;

    They have sound demos and some free samples to try.

    ...in addition to P.T.'s post: also check out the "sister site" of Early Patches, banchetto-musicale. You'll find some other programs there for Kontakt, Giga, HAL, EXS...

    Even if it's an old library, I find the samples very musical and true to the period.
    I used some of the wind instruments in the false canon that happens from 1:06 on in this piece, if you want to hear how the samples sit with other libraries

    Yes indeed! Especially if it involves Sackbuts!
