Pat Metheny. Enigma. The Rolling Stones. (anything but Sottish massed pipe bands. I\'m Scottish and must have been attacked by a haggis when I was small. Although I enjoy the Pibroch; solo \'classical\' pipes).

Dream Theater and Stabbing Westward are my two favorites. Tho I think Chris Cornell\'s has beeen the CD I\'ve listened to most in the past year, and is probably my new favorite

My favorite band is a Swedish band called The Flower Kings.

I also listen to Spock\'s Beard, Transatlantic, Echolyn and other prog bands.

Mike Oldfield, Enigma, Enya, Jarre, and techno/dance stuff sometimes... but more filmmusic than anything else I think.

Classical music of India (Hindusthani, not Karnatic) Miles Davis w/Gil Evans, Coltrane, Joey DeFrancesco, John McLaughlin, Sting, Steely Dan, Bonnie Raitt (with Don Was), Stravinsky, Basie, Joe Sample. Music that talks to God and lets me listen in.

Not in that order, except the Indian stuff...

    Off Topic Question.

    Hi everyone,

This may be off our typical topics but...

I was wondering what ROCK groups or other types of music we listen to when we need to get away from the violin samples

For me, I have always been very influenced by, Rush.

    You?
