Gorgeous. Lovely heart-breaking melody. I like a composer who's not afraid of melody.

The middle section with harp and chimes is unexpected and magical.

My only subjective nit-pick is that I might try placing the solo woodwind (oboe d'amore?) in the middle section of the piece a touch further back on the soundstage with a bit more air and ambiance. For me this would make the instrument even more haunting. But of course this a matter of personal taste and it is really fine the way it is too.

Again great stuff Guy (and Dan)!

This might be one of my favorites from you, Guy. I'm put in mind of Rachmaninoff. Not that it really sounds like him but it just puts me in the same mood with this ravishing melody.

    Best wishes,

Guy and Dan, What a lovely piece! I particularly like the quietude of the harp and oboe section and the very effective re-emergence of the full strings after that mood. Nice! John

I'd love to hear a real orchestra interpret this!

    Very coool, Guy & Dan!

I like this piece and as it is mixed very well!

As Jay said, I think so too, I can`t lokate the solo woddwind and to my ears it needs more ER and Reverb. Also in the middle part the strings are suddenly more away than at the beginning and the end. (o1:55). But, this is ony my opinion!

    Well done!
